Videos of my Uncle Jack

My uncle, Jack Roddy passed away at home in Texas in March at 87 years old.

Many have asked when the celebration is. Jack felt strongly he did not want a service and family is going to honor his wishes.

Before I published the book I wrote about my hysterical family and the life lessons they taught us, I sent it to Jack and gave him veto power over which stories I would share. If the about the family, that was okay, but he asked me to remove any stories that were only about him.

I pleaded, “Oh come on, Jack. Those are great stories.”

“Nope,” was his response. “I don’t want any credit.”

To honor Jack, I will be happy to send you a book, if you cover $5 for the shipping. Please send an email to contact@heathersharp.com and put ‘Jack Roddy’ in the subject line.

I reminded Jack about the 2007 video of he with my mom and Uncle Jimmy, telling stories and asked if I could share that. He said, “You’ll have to wait until I’m gone. Tell everyone how much I love ‘em and how much they meant to me.”

Jack loved America and the western way of life.  He was grateful to our military and first responders, and just like my Grandpa, he believed in hard work and not handout. We miss you Jack, we won’t have a celebration, but I do want to honor your memory. Love you, Jack.
